About Landscape Architecture
Landscape architecture, a profession which is engaged in arranging irrigation systems, includes a range of biological, technical, artistic and design activities for the purpose of landscaping. Landscape architects through the planning, design, construction, design and maintenance of landscapes enhance the quality of life by creating beautiful, functional and ecologically healthy environment. They shape spaces such as public parks, plazas, squares, sports and recreation complexes, private gardens, gardens, commercial buildings. Their object of activity may be a small space like an urban garden, and a large national park, tourist area or system of open spaces around the city and arranging the landscape of the entire region.
Even in the Baroque period, Le Notre considered himself a landscape architect, but it was only in 1867 the profession in the United States called the name of “landscape architecture” (landscape arhitecture). The term “landscape architect” was established by Frederick Olmsted, creator of Central Park in New York. Before that, the profession has paved the way thanks to the many well-known European landscape designers, such as Capability Brown, who in the eighteenth century English estate planning areas, and Andre Le Notre, the designer of gardens at Versailles.
Examples early in the history of landscape architecture were recorded as hanging gardens of Babylon, Egyptian gardens, ancient gardens, Chinese.
